About Us:
The “RT-ON” Foundation grew from a civil society grassroot movement to prevent plans to build new lignite open-pit mines and go into renewables. The unique combination of diverse Coalition members has allowed the Foundation “RT - ON” to quickly gain trust of business associations opposing new mines, local authorities and leaders, progressive cities associations and to enter the dialogue with banks, pension fund management, ministries, and regional authorities as well as regional parliaments and mining trade unions. The Foundation has also expanded its working partners and contacts among Western CSOs, allowing it to engage in cooperation to prevent new mines with a whole range of organisations and institutions ranging from MEPs to international CSO coalitions working on finance.
The Foundation as a member of the Insure Our Future network also became a precursor of the finance and insurance campaigning in Poland. We have trained other CSOs in Poland to run finance and utility campaigns targeting banks, pension funds and insurers. We are still coordinating that work and are the most experienced organisation engaged in private finance campaigning in Poland.
About You:
You understand the importance of solving the climate crisis, you are committed and passionate about making a change. You’re an experienced communications professional and social media expert. We are looking for an experienced colleague who will join our team to help accelerate the decarbonization of finance.
